some seasons of my life are much more difficult than others. there are times and seasons where it seems as if i am working hard and making very little progress, where i am trying my best but it still seems stagnate. and there are times when life seems so easy and enjoyable. why is that? i could be dealing with the same issue with the same person many times over and sometimes i feel as if i am going to pull my hair out and other times i respond with such grace, i even surprise myself.
relationships seem to be the hardest issues that we all deal with. but, they should be the most rewarding parts of our lives. relationships cost the investment of each of our own lives in order to find the rewarding aspect to it. it is not something you can half step your way through. we truly must be willing to pay the price for the relationship to endure and sometimes that just seems so hard to do.
life is made up of many different kinds of relationships. first and most important is our relationship with God. then there are marriage relationships, parent/child relationships, and friendships. all of these relationships cost an investment in order to maintain them. that cost can sometimes seem to be too hard. when that happens, the investment is withdrawn by one person or another and the relationship falters or comes to an end. there is nothing greater in this world than the life of person. so, the investment that we make in developing relationships always has a good return because in them is the only place where true value lies. but, if that is not understood then other things can be placed in a higher valued position and the relationship could be left to shrivel and die.
whether or not life seems easy or hard in seemingly difficult circumstances in my relationships depends on whether i am trying to mange my relationships on my own or depending upon God to manage them for me. when i am leaning and depending on the joy of my own relationship with God and letting Him empower me with Himself and His investment and commitment to me, then every other relationship in my life is just as easy and enjoyable as the one i have with Him because His grace empowers me to handle every person i have been connected with in a fragile and valuable way.
all relationships are worth the value of the persons involved in it! all people are worth the investment of the Life of Jesus Christ who gave Himself up for us to live in a relationship with the Father. we were His best investment ever!

Thanks for sharing this with us....amen!! Powerful truths revealed here.
Very well said my friend. And I believe that friendships are appointed in a way and you'll know when you are to press on with them because I know when I was to let go of some as well! LOL!

You said it so well, relationships are both tough and the best!

Truly spoken Christy. I especially liked the part where it feels sometimes like we are pulling our hair out with certain individuals and other times the grace that pours out is a surprise. Something that I notice a lot in my life too. Thanks for sharing.
Great post full of encouragement.
Hope you are having a beautiful day!
Very true! I have experienced both sides of the coin.
I love how you explain that our relationship with God will help our other relationships. I am sure all of us have a relationship or two that is very difficult to maintain. This should lead us to get closer to our creator. Great insights!
Finding Christ within each person is really a call to each of us. All are worthy of our recognition and love. It's a daily challenge. Sometimes it's hard to admit that we fail often in this area. We just have to keep trying. That's what God asks of us.
Thanks for the gentle, encouraging reminder. I am always telling me to keep the first things first! And God is first over all!! love to you friend.
Wonderful post! Thanks so much for sharing from your heart.
I like the words fragile and valuable.....the way we handle people! I've always seen people as equal in value but sometimes when we feel hurt or left out or not valued ourselves that is when we have to draw on the love God has for us to be able to love people with all the same love because we all have equal value.....good word Christy....Love Mom
Loved your post Christy.
So very true.
Have a great day.
Relationships are turbulent at times....let's blame it on our hormones. Seriously, what can drive us to God's Word and His Spirit more though? If we were worth loving to Jesus, all people are worth it to us. Lots to think about!
This is awesome Ms. Christy!
Having the right relationship with the Father will strengthen our earthly relationships & help us in those difficult circumstances. I am so glad that He invests in me daily.
You always have such a wonderful way of stating things! Love this!
Christy Rose,
Great post! This ia a subject that's near and dear to my heart!

Relationships are the exact reason I blog and why I've been spending the last 3 hours trying to get around to as many of my friends as possible! Over the past few days in my quiet times with God, he's been challenging me with this scripture from 2 Cor. 5:16... "So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view..." I want to regard everyone from God's point of view and see them as a worthy investment of my time.
It's exhausting, but in the end, it's what we are to be doing. Living the kingdom, corporately. One precious soul at a time.
So glad my path has intersected with yours, Christy. You're the real deal, and I love you.

Excellent points. I think I need to try this. Relationships with family can be a real struggle. I was going to say it's your hormones! :) That is what I blame it on.
I just realized that I had you in a wrong folder and haven't been visiting you. I apologize for that. Thanks for stopping by.
Oh this post makes me think! :) If we all see others through Christ's eyes what an amazing world it would be. Although at times I also know HE is separating me from some relationships as well. Sometimes I hate that while other times I know it is what is best....HE will guide us if only we seek HIM!
