Such a cute pic! Is this the family pet? Adorable!

I enjoyed reading your last two posts..."count it all joy" and "big girl".

I think that you are right...we definitely need to turn our trials and tribulations over to God, but I also think that if we put our trust in HIM, he will lead us to helping ourselves. I'm always tickled by the joke about the man who tries to get into heaven and when he finally gets there, says to God, "why didn't you help me/save me?" And God answers, I sent you a boat, some oars, and a life jacket...what more did you want? LOL

The parenting issue is so tricky. I agree 100% that it is our job, from the moment our children arrive in this world to teach them to become independent. That means answering their immediate cries as newborns so that eventually they learn that they can depend on others and that leads to healthy self-esteem and thus independence.

Yet in today's world, there are so many things that we need to shelter and protect our little ones from (thru those important teenage years!) that it's scary to grant too much independence too soon!

Such wonderful food for thought, Christy Rose...thanks for the great posts.

P.S. Thanks so much for dropping by...and yes, I have really begun to enjoy referring to my little men as "my boyS"!!!

Christy,

I love this picture. It reminds me of the song by Corey Hart back in the 80's. I too wear them at night when I have a massive migraine it helps a whole lot to reduce the glare that can't be helped sometimes.
