the appointed place

the appointed place
who can find it?
lingering here
in the familiar
is it here?
feeling Him calling
responding with glee
then frustrated
a roadblock
why?

stop
turn around
go through it

the appointed place
i am searching
is it there?
traveling in the unfamiliar
following the voice within
i recognize it
then suddenly
a deep canyon
why?

stop
jump
build a bridge

the appointed place
i have found it
under His arm
up on His shoulders
in the palm of His hands
resting there
knowing

safe and secure
on the pathway
as we journey together

in my appointed place.

Ah yes ... the restfulness of settling into His appointed places. It's where we long to be, regardless of the circumstance that places us there.

Lovely!

Blessings,
Kathleen

I hope I am in my place and just as importantly...FILLING my place.

Lots of why's but if that's where He wants us to be, no need to ask. Just follow with your heart. Beautiful!

Love and blessings.

I love remembering that there are times that we ask Jesus to move the mountain, and yet He tells us we must climb this one to see the greater Glory to be revealed on the other side. How great is our God indeed!

I really like this poem! I was on top of the world the other day, then it feels like I did fall into a canyon or something, but I'm going to keep pressing forward! So, thanks for this! Hope you have a great weekend!!

Hi Dear Friend,

Your words...so beautiful, so reflective of my own image sometimes struggling up the mountain but anticipating the open arms of our loving Father...and yet, He was with me during the entire climb.

Thank you for such friendship, for wonderful thoughts and prayers left on my site. Your heart reflects such beauty.

Love you,
Alleluiabelle

Hi Christy Rose!

I'm so excited that you discovered my blog and became a follower! I too am returning the courtesy...your blog is definitely a delight to read and so very peaceful.

Your family is beautiful...what blessings you've been given. I noticed you have a little one...only 1 or 2 years old...he is absolutely adorable. I only mention this b/c I too am in my 40s and I am expecting my 3rd baby this summer.

We have yet to go public on our blog or individual facebook accounts, but have slowly been telling folks...so you're in on a little secret.

After years of struggling with infertility and multiple pregnancy losses, I feel so blessed to be pregnant once again and scheduled to deliver just a few weeks shy of my 41st birthday. WOW GOD is great!!!

So nice to meet you and looking forward to getting to know you better,

Valerie

Hi I'm over visiting from the 5 mom's site because they said you won the new blog header and I wanted to see what Miti ends up making for you. She's awesome and I'm sure you will love it. I won a couple months ago and love what she did for me.

Congrats to you.
