union with Him

it is an interesting day for me today. it is 9:00 a.m. my older kids have all gone back to school and jacob is still asleep, which is very uncommon. it is quiet and my thoughts are toward the Lord, seeking His direction for this upcoming year and asking Him to order my steps in all that i do. i have a sense of excitement for this upcoming year, that a deeper revelation of truth and a fuller measure of the manifestation of His presence in my life will be experienced. and, something "new!"

i just want to live in fellowship with Him and experience the place that Jesus died for me to have, union with Him. i want to dwell there and be changed by His very Presence. reveal Yourself to me Lord! Show me Who You are so that I can know You and show You to everyone that my life touches!

"  dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much abundant fruit. However, apart from Me, you can do nothing."   John15:4,5

Now why do I have the feeling your New Year is going to be blessed and God-designed? Your words have really encouraged me today to be putting God first in everything. Thanks!

Hi Christy! Just stopping by to say hi, and get to know you and your family. :) I think that being willing to hear the Lord is half the battle, ask and ye shall receive. Good luck this coming year!

This has been the cry of my heart as of lately too. Just to know Him better and to see things as He sees them.

I think this blog has been such a wonderful avenue for you to show others his presence in your life. Keep it up. There's a big lost world out there.

Hi Christy, thanks for stopping in to my blog. It's always fun to meet new "friends". Your children are beautiful. The best thing about your blog....you are not ashamed of Jesus and talking about Him! I'll keep popping in for more of Him.

You send out such a powerful prayer full of commitment and love. Wonderful Scriptural quote.

hey friend,
No, I don't mind sharing...back this summer, Elizabeth was fine, we took a family photo and her eyes were perfectly straight, 2 weeks later, her left eye was crossed completely in. They have tried many things to correct it, we are getting an MRI soon to see if there is anything going on in her brain. if that is clear, we will let them do surgery to hopefully correct the muscle. Pray this works, I am nervous, but I know I can trust God with my little girl...

I'm praying too that this year will be the year I'll experience a closer relationship with the Lord. I'm so guilty many a time for just giving him the leftovers. He deserves so much more and I know I can make a change!

"Dwell in Me and I will dwell in you" - it's a 2 way relationship! And such a good point - but be in His presence - seeking the fullnes of that presence. You are definitely planting seeds - nudging, reminding me of what God's told me!

Blessings on 2010!

I have a thank you over at my place! Come on by!

Ahhhh, a quiet morning and with the Lord. Aren't we so blessed? I haven't reflected much lately. Thanks for reminding me to do that.

I'm always in a hurry. I used to get up at 5:30 every morning (except Sat)and spend my first hour with God. I didn't mind it at all. Now I despise getting up at 6:30 to get ready for work.

I pray that I can get back to that early morning with God. It's the best thing I can ever do.
