i can't wait for next year!

this was the 6th year for the ministry of because of Jesus to host a weekend getaway in the tulsa, oklahoma area. every year has been in a different location with many gifted speakers sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. each year there has been a different theme, but the message has always been the same, "we are loved children of God that have been graced with abundant life and eternal salvation by our faith in the finished work of Christ and all that we are blessed with by God is because of Jesus."

this year the theme was appropriately named, "it is finished." every speaker presented the great Truth of the accomplished work of Jesus Christ and how our faith in His act of love, alone, completely brought us into favor with God. i was privileged to be one of those speakers along with my sister, connie witter, and a wonderfully funny and gifted woman named rose karlebach. i am always amazed at how God ordains in our hearts the messages that flow together so fluently and build the strength of the Truth of His message into the lives of everyone that was there. i know that I left the weekend with a fuller measure of revelation in the finished work of Jesus Christ than when I arrived. i am very convinced that everyone that was there could say the same thing because of the presence of the Holy Spirit and the powerful teaching that went forth.

this weekend, as i allowed the Lord to fill me up with Truth, i felt strength arise in my spirit enabling me to trust Him with even more areas of my life.  Scripture after Scripture came forth to reinforce the understanding of the finished work of Christ in all of our hearts. as i listened, i wondered, "how is it that we have such a hard time getting this? it is so clear throughout the entire Bible that Jesus would come and make a way for us. He would do it! He would finish it! He would accomplish for us what we could not accomplish on our own!" i asked the Lord to open my eyes and help me to see what i was not seeing before so that i could walk in more of the resurrection power of Jesus Christ in my life. i continue this cry up to Him even today.

it was a wonderful weekend. i know many people's lives were touched and changed. God is doing great things through the because of Jesus ministry as they are propelled to get the message of the power of the completed work of Jesus Christ into as many people's lives as possible. this weekend was just a step in the journey that God has for His children to shine the glory of their Father!!! one step after another makes a pathway of lives that is touched and changed by His Love!

i can't wait for next year!

Hi Christy Rose,

There is a life-affirmirming quality that occurs when the Holy Spirit moves us. Jesus said, "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20, RSV).

I too believe that Christ empowers each Christian to live a life that imparts the love, grace and character of God. May the Lord continue to do great things through this ministry.

My Thought-filled Journey

Oh Christy! I am sooo glad you were able to be touched so deeply....I love it when the Lord sends a Rhema Word out like that and it is for each and every one! I am with you...why is it so hard to grasp the message....If we could grasp even HIS love, oh how that would change everything!! Then to know how HE will be with us every step of the way instead of seeing all that stands there trying to tear us down ....I guess that is why it is a journey as one step at a time we learn to depend on HIM instead of ourselves and we work together instead of independently!

I am soo sorry I missed you! I was so out of it when the kids ended up sick that week! One day though we will hug each others necks!!! That I know for sure! Have a glorious Easter weekend my friend! I love you

Praise the Lord for this special experience with Him. Bet many were blessed with your ministry as well. I think what tugs at my trust level is looking too seriously at what is seen instead of what the Word says! But I am determined like a bulldog to keep growing too!

Happy Easter,
Mary

That sounds so exciting sister Christy! I know many are blessed by that and to understand what being "finished" means on the part of the Lord, that's truly encouraging to every one. The One Who never got out of His will. Will be the same One to be there for us as we try to finish ours. Happy Resurrection Day to you sister and God bless you and your family! Love to you.

Everyone needs to experience life-changing retreats from time-to-time. It's such a great way to connect with the Lord in a concentrated way, and to fill up a cup that is, for we Moms/Grandmoms, always nearing empty.

Thank you for sharing.

Blessings this Easter, and always,
Kathleen
