the neighbor mowing his lawn, the grocery clerk checking my produce, the mailman delivering my mail, the new mommy walking her baby in a stroller, my child's teacher at school, the friends that my son plays baseball with, the daddy that dropped his kids off at school this morning. all around me, everywhere that i look, i see dead people! not just hurting people who need help. but, dead people who need the Life of God! most of them don't even know that they are dead. they really don't look like they are dead to the natural eye. but, God's Word says that they are! their physical body is alive because of their natural birth but it is just the costume that is covering up the death that abides within. their spirit is dead because of sin! they are living dead people! as was i before i acknowledged my state of being and embraced the Life of God through the work of Jesus.
i was dead in my sin. i was a physically living, breathing dead person until God breathed His Life in me and resurrected me from death! He brought me to Life by uniting Himself with me. the same Life that raised Christ from the dead raised me as well. i have been raised up together with Jesus, joined with Him by the power of God. now, i live! the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in me! and the same power that raised Christ from the dead can save all dead people! their hope of resurrection is only found in the Life of Jesus that is being offered to them in exchange for their lifeless spirit. now, i see dead people with hope of being raised to Life!

Those inmates who accepted God's gift of salvation through prison ministries, enjoy life and freedom than those people you mentioned living outside the prison walls.
May these people who need a Savior, receive that special Treat and in Him, there is just no trick!!! Have a great weekend. Love and blessings to you sister!
Our circumstances truly don't matter. We can have all worldly pleasures available to us, yet not be happy if we don't have life in Christ. Thanks for this reminder, so beautifully said. If we remember the lost in this way, as "dead people" we can see their need much more clearly.
Christy Rose, may God richly bless your day.
Thank you so much for another great post for us to think on. I guess I've never really thought about it this way but again, you are so right. Don't forget to stop by my blog today;-)
Amen to that! It is the greatest tragedy and lie that Satan gets so many people to believe.....that they don't need Christ. It's just so hard to explain to an unbeliever what they are missing, until they experience it for themselves.
It's scary huh? Scary and sad to see. I hope that is why I live by example in hopes that they will see the life of Jesus in us. There is life to be had.
Great post!
Very good post, I love the word play too (from the movie), it definitely gets your attention! May I always remember to look around and see the "dead people" so I can pray for them, and if God leads me, witness to them. I tend to get so busy in my own little world, I forget to look at the grocery clerk, the mailman, my kids teachers, etc. Thanks for the reminder!
I love your analogies! What a great way to put it. You do an amazing job of helping us stay on task, and reminding us why it's important to do so!!

So true. May our lives be a light to the world today! Help us, Lord!

Oh wow--I sooooo understand and see the same things you see, dear friend. It literally breaks my heart.
This is exhilerating! You are right on, Christy Rose, celebrating life when the ghosts & goblins are celebrating death at this time of year.
Hugs,
Mary
Christy,
Love your title. I was thinking it was going someplace else but love your take on this. So true and so many of them will be out and about not just on Halloween but every day there after.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
So many hurting people. They need the Lord. I just pray that i can be a light to share Life with them. Great post.
Amen...death is defeated by our sweet Jesus...we HAVE to let them know....
It's what we do with the "dead" that counts for the kingdom. How I pray for the eyes to see and then the willingness to move further and speak "life" and truth into the hearts of those who've yet to realize the "eternity" that carry within.
Great visual, Christy. How I pray for God's continuing refinement in my own heart and life to be more aware and more active with his people.
peace~elaine
Such truth is here. Thank you for spreading the Good News to all in this way!
I got the opportunity to witness to a gentleman from church last night. He doesn't even realize he's lost.... but a spiritual door was opened, so I walked on in and shared my testimony.
A seed was planted...
Well said!!!!
I thought I was the only one that saw these lifeless souls.

I love love love this!!!!! Have you seen the video for Britt Nicole's song "The Lost Get Found"?? It is awesome-- she went around to normal everyday places like gas stations, parking lots, etc to see who God would bring to gher path to speak truth into.

Christy Rose ~ this is so true.....so many are dead and sadly some of those are believers who know and have Christ but don't or choose not to let HIM and HIS Word speak LIFE to them!
Jesus let these people find you! accept you! live life as you so desire for them to live.....abundantly JOHN 10:10 :)
bless you my friend
