tuesday was typhoon lagoon day. one of disney's beautiful waterparks.
we had heard of the awesome wave pool that they had here.
so, everyone waited around in the shallow water waiting for the time for the big waves.
once again, jacob loved the water
UNTIL THIS!!!
everyone else loved the huge waves. they played here for hours. i think they could have played in the wave pool the entire time.
i was holding jacob, in the shallow water, when the first wave came and we still ended up falling over and riding the humongous wave to dry concrete.
but, there was so much more to do. so, we headed off to the the water slides.
this is aaron and josiah finishing the straight-down drop water slide.
with olivia and rachel following. the verdict was "FUN! but you get a huge wedgie."
rachel is taking care of that in this picture. LOL
about half way through the day, jacob was water logged. he napped while everyone else headed over to the snorkeling area.
here we are, getting ready to snorkel with the fish, stingrays, and even sharks! everyone loved doing this!
the snorkeling mask is so flattering!
amanda was scared at first and wouldn't go. but, she did not want to miss out and eventually did it.
she was so glad that she did.
the water was really cold too!
but, you got used to it once you got in and started floating around.
now we are ready to snorkel in the real ocean some day.
typhoon lagoon closed at 5 pm. so, we went back to our resort, cleaned up and headed
to downtown disney to eat, check out the shopping, and disney quest.
on the bus to downtown disney
ready to eat, shop, and play
we ate here!
it was fun seeing a lot of the props that were used in so many movies
can you guess which movie this is from?
after we ate, we went over to disney quest, a five story building with any kind of arcade games you could possibly imagine.
i think the kids could have played there for an entire day.
jacob is learning to drive already!
it was not easy keeping track of jacob here. i finally found a small area that was gated off for him to play in.
it was surrounded by a bench seat that i could sit and watch pinocchio keep him entertained and fascinated for a very long time.
we did not leave downtown disney until almost midnight. we were all exhausted at the end of the day but everyone had a blast!

Love and blessings.
Jacob just steals the show!!! Great shots...Have a great day sister and I truly enjoy these pics! God bless.
Such an awesome vacation!!
Wow that is some big time fun. What an awesome trip. Swimming with sharks? So cool!
Christy,
Oh what fun it look like each member of your family was having. Loved the snorkeling with sharks and rays! That would be something.
Water parks are the perfect place for letting out all that excess energy so that the kids are much more calmer in the evening.

How fun--makes me long for some nice warm weather :( Summer completely missed us this year--and I'm tired of being cold--and now winter is upon us. Oh the joys! Best I just learn contentment in ALL situations, huh?
Sending you a HUGE hug, friend.
Waterparks are so much fun but those wedgies are not!! Whew that was a long day!
I need to go find me a state called Florida! :-) Looks like you guys were soaking up every minute of the sun you could get...smart! Enjoying the pictures.
Wow! We haven't been to Disney for yeeeeears (before we had our boys). It's changed a lot since we were there!
I'm worn out just by reading about your day! lol
What a great vacation.
What fun pics!! Looks like you had a blast!!!! Making memories that will last a lifetime . . . .
You all are just doing it right aren't you? How fun!!!
Hugs

Your family and their adventures make me smile. Thanks for sharing all the pictures.
We always go to downtown Disney! We went to Typhoon Lagoon too and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.
Everybody loves the wave pool, and then while they go on the slides I go on the Lazy River. So much fun!
Then a bird pooped on my son while he was eating lunch, lol!
oooops, that was me!

That wave pool looks awesome! Snorkeling is something I've always wanted to do. That is so neat that you guys got to do all that stuff as a family.
Everything just looks like so much fun, except maybe the wedgie part. Ha!! We have a wave pool at our local rec center and the kids all love it, but it makes me a nervous wreck! I don't like them being out with those waves, but of course they think I'm just being silly :)
Fun pictures! We leave Friday for Florida. Will be near the parks mid next week. Think we are going to skip Disney because of my kids ages and the prices. We are thinking maybe Universal Studios will be better. But after seeing these, I again get confused! Looks so fun!
Such good pictures-it looks like so much fun. I'm barely keeping my jealousy in tact!! :) I'm glad y'all had so much fun, and tell Jacob that I'm not crazy about the wave pool either!

That looks like so much fun! Thanks for sharing your great pictures.
This was fun for me to see Disneyland through your children's pics. Their cute faces tell the whole story!
Disney is my most favorite place in the world - well, DisneyWorld is where we go. We last went in Oct. 07 and I am so ready to go back!! Maybe once the grandkids get just a bit older we can all go together.
This all looks like so much fun!
God is good to give us wonderful families to share life's blessings.
♥Hope

So much fun! We love the wave pool too at water parks! And isn't Downtown Disney so much fun! 11 years ago, my hubby and I honeymooned at Disney and did all that fun suff (or what was there that long ago!) Disney Quest had just opened and we spend an evening there too...fun!
