family time at the apple blossom farm

a sure sign that fall has begun is when it is time to harvest apples.
this past weekend, we spent some family time together at the apple blossom farm.
there were all kinds of fun things for us to do together.

jacob enjoyed the fruit of the field! he loves apples!

the kids swung from the ropes

and raced the pedal cars

pretended to drive and ride in a train

held the bunnies and fed the goats

peeked into the outside world from within the tunnel playground

slid down the slides
oooops! it's sideways

went on a hayride

and, of course, we had to have an apple cider slushie

after our fun day, we came home and cooked steaks on the grill and let jacob entertain us all with his funny faces. this is typical dinner time fun for the roses.
we had a great day!

How fun! What a beautiful time together as a family! Your family is beautiful...What a perfect way to end it with that adorable son of yours! There is a little town in San Diego known for apples [Julian] and it's fun to go apple picking and then stroll in the streets with different restaurants but the best was the apple pie bakery. I love Fall...And I'm glad it's just around the corner. Thank you for sharing these. God bless you and your beautiful family sister Christy. Love you in Christ.

Oh those soft curls are something I miss on my Jacob. There was nothing like them. My hubby shaved them off and now his hair is growing back, but it is not soft like it was. I'm thankful there is still a curl to it.

What a beautiful family!

Christy,

I love going to the apple farms in the fall. It's the one highlight of the season our family lives for all year. Apple cider, apple pies, apples in general and cinnamon apple spiced donuts! Those take the blue ribbon hands down.

Thanks for sharing your memories with all of us.

Love and Hugs ~ Kat

You have a beautiful family, Christy. I'm glad for your time together and for the simple things that make us smile. A cider-slushie sounds heavenly! Could you send one my way?

Have a blessed weekend; squeeze in some rest and walk when you can.

What a beautiful and blessed family!! Thanks for sharing these photos with us!

September is my favourite month, fall my favourite season, and apples remind me of both! We've been travelling a lot, and haven't been able to get into the apple pickin', cider drinkin' thing yet--so your photos brought me a little closer to a few of my favourite things! Thank you!

Blessings, Linda

It looks like you guys had a wonderful time! I wish that we had something like that to do around here. We will visit a pumpkin patch in October, but sure would love to pick some apples!

Hey, how's it going? I haven't been around, sorry. I do appreciate you stopping by though.

Looks like you guys had alot of fun. Jacob is just precious. I loved the picture of him eating the apple.

The back pack project is always a great experience for me. I hope others get the same sense of joy when they're giving to this.

I coordinate it, but it was already a ministry when I got to the church. We used to do 3 ministries with the same middle school. We used to tutor during 2 time frames each year (late fall & late spring).

We still donate wrapped Christmas gifts and the back pscks each year.
It's been fun for me to help with these.

More later,
Nannette

Oh yum. I have never had an apple cider slushie... but I love apple cider.

I am like you. When I can't read for a while I like to go back and see all the posts I missed at my favorite bloggers... I am Italian and can't bear to not know what is going on:)

Hey Christy Rose,

Don’t you just love it when you get to have your whole family together? I don’t get that so much anymore with Lisa and Adam in college and working.
