it was a happy birthday weekend

amanda's birthday was last week and it seemed that we celebrated all weekend.  we had a small family party on her actual birthday which was thursday.  then, she had friday off of school so i took her birthday shopping so she could pick out what she would like. it was also her year to have a birthday party with friends and she decided that she wanted to spend the night in a hotel with a few of her friends.  so we continued the celebration on sunday night at the nearby sleep inn.

my baby girl is 12! :(
grandma still thinks she is a princess!

four very tired girls at breakfast after a very long night laughing, talking and playing games.  i do not think that they went to sleep at all until the sun started to come up.
i think she enjoyed turning 12!
it was a happy birthday weekend!

Happy Birthday to your sweet 12 year old. I remember those nights as a young girl. Seems like you can only do that while your young. ;-)

LOL - they sure look tired! My 12 is getting ready to turn 13 in a few months - and this year, I just look at his brothers who get so frustrated and laugh and say, "it's a stage. he'll outgrow it." The stage where he's trying to be grown-up like the bigger teens and still trying to be little with the little brother - and not playing either part with a winning hand (am I mixing my metaphors?) - All mixed in with the sulkies. However, I adore 12. It really is such a tween year:)

Happy Birthday to you both!!!!!
