its finally time!

its finally time!
i do not remember how long ago it was that i found this sweet friend of mine here in the blogging community. i do not even remember how i  happened upon her blog. but, once i did, i was hooked. adeye is one of my lovely friends that i have come to know through this fabulous blogging community. she has an absolutely awesome family that consists of three natural born sons of their own and two beautiful girls that they have adopted. they make an absolutely beautiful family. but they feel as if their family is not complete as of yet. God has lain upon their hearts a desire to rescue two little orphan girls with down syndrome from eastern europe named hailee and harper. they are hoping for an april travel date to go and bring them home. they are in the final stages of raising the money that is necessary for them to be able to adopt them and they are having an auction to help to bring in the last amount of money that is necessary for them to be able to finally bring them home to their precious family. i wanted to help them get the word out about the auction. if you are interested in helping bring home hailee and harper, you can either go to their auction right here and bid on something that interests you to help them raise funds or you can just go visit adeye at her blog and donate whatever you feel lead to at her chip in that is located on the top of her sidebar. either way, orphan children are worth our time, effort and yes, even our funds. my eyes have been so enlightened to the need to rescue children in so many places in the world that need families to care for them just by coming to know adeye. she has a heart for adoption and bringing orphan children into families that is infectious. if you hang around her long enough, you may just feel the tug to rescue a child yourself some day. i know that i have felt the tug to make sure that i do something. i can't just sit and do nothing. i have to help. so, i have done what i have felt like i could do for now and i am praying that the Lord keep my heart open to whatever else He would have me do to care for the orphans in this world. would you help too? would you do whatever you can? would you at least stop by and meet adeye and her family and read about her life and the testimony of them adopting her girls, hannah-claire and haven and their desire to bring hailee and harper home too. i believe that we are all to be a part of taking care of the orphans of the world, not just a few of us. their are too many hurting, lost, and broken children in the world for us all not to do something to help them. if we all do something, i believe that we could bring every orphan into a family to love and care for them. i just want to encourage you to at least reach out and help a family who is willing to turn their world upside down to adopt these babies, even if it is just reaching in your pocketbook to do so. thank you for taking the time to consider your part in bringing hailee and harper home to their family.

That's awesome! I'm so encouraged by God's people reaching out to the orphans and fulfilling God's Word. But it's especially special when those babies have special needs. God bless your friend and I pray that all the provisions needed will come in, and then some!

What an awesome post! Of course you know how I feel about adoption and what a blessing it is and lately, God has really been opening my eyes that if we want to do what He desires, it is to help the orphans, widows, and the needy. You should read The Hole in our Gospel, if you haven't already.....such an awesome book that is devoted to this topic! I will head over to Adeye's blog!
