let the parades begin

yesterday was olivia's first marching parade of the season. she is in color guard and does flag routines. we love watching her do something that she really likes to do. it was fun sitting on the sidelines, watching her walk down the street in perfect synchronized fashion with the rest of her squad along with her junior high band. she did great! she has many more weeks's of parades ahead of her coming up. i hope she has a blast!

Christy,

Oh how this brings back so many memories of my younger sister who was in Tall Flags and Drill Team. I loved watching all her competitions and the routines that they would come up with.

Olivia looks amazing and I bet you are one proud mom! Thanks for sharing this beautiful pictures with all of us.

That is so neat! I was in flags when I was in Jr High too, before we moved to Baytown, TX. Then in High School, I was Commander of our all girls Drum and Bugle Corp and had to march backwards to lead the music. It was so much fun and I have such great memories from those days!! I bet she will too :)

Loved these pictures. Both my son and daughter marched in this very same band when they were in Jr. High (same director, he's a good guy). My son was a drummer and my daughter the drum major. Fun days!

Loved the apple picking pics too!

How well I remember the days of parades, flying batons, and sequins; your daughter seems a better fit for these types of things than I ever did! I know you're proud. You should be.

That looks like fun! I think she'll have a great year. She looks great and those flags are cool. I like the uniform too. Blue is so pretty.

My kids finally started school on the 16th. So far all is going well. They haven't had any real homework yet though. i'll need patience for those days.

Have a nice weekend.
Thanks for being loyal.
