we've defintiely got a full house, but where's the milk?

there has been a lot more people and noise around here this week than normal because of the blizzard that passed through here a few days ago.  it is day three of snow days for the kids and even aaron did not have to go into work on wednesday.  not only were my own kids home but they had extra friends around quite a bit too.  josiah had some friends over on tuesday that got stuck here and had to spend the night. so we have definitely had a full house. but, that all ends tomorrow.  snow days are over and school resumes.

it was kinda fun having everyone home and exited about the snow.  there is always something exiting about thinking you might get snowed in, except when you run out of milk because the day before the storm hit, not one gallon of milk could be found anywhere around. i think everyone in our town thought that we were going to be snowed in for weeks instead of days. we did not actually run out of milk until last night, but we were rationing it for a couple of days. jacob pretty much got almost all of it, except a little here and there for some cereal.  it's pretty funny how you really don't want something until you know you can't have it.  everyone kept asking for milk. i felt like the milk police a couple of times. but milk is flowing here again today as aaron found some at the grocery store on his way home from work.

funny thing is i don't think anyone has asked for milk since we have had it in the refrigerator. :)

That much snow would have shut NC down for weeks! It's like craving Chick fil A on Sunday when they are closed or wanting take out on Christmas night...the one day/night that everything is closed.

This has been the CRAZIEST week and Snow Storm EVER! We are still out of school and to be honest I am not sure we will even be able to go back on Monday. We actually got out today and they hadn't even begun plowing the schools yet. Our town received the largest amount of snowfall in the whole state!! 24 inches in my backyard!! YIKES!!
I tell ya it has been nice having the kids home but I will be honest....I cannot wait until my husband gets home!!! LOL I bet your house has been wonderful and filled with fun and laughter :)

Hope your feeling ok!!!

Love and hugs to you my friend! Enjoy the quiet tomorrow :)

Haha! That's so true....when we had the hurricane, milk could not be found anywhere and a neighbor actually shared theirs with us so Lily could have some. :) We ended up getting absolutely no snow! :(

It is quite something what people do when they announce snowstorms! My husband loves it of course, because it helps sells...yes on milk. ;-) Glad you didn't run out, and now you can go stock up again. Our kids finally went back to school today. We were all a bit ready.

Have a great weekend.

Somehow, we missed all the snow an ice in our neck of the woods. I'm soooo glad! But, we've had cold temps.

I know what you mean about the grocery stores. The same thing happens here. We call it French Toast weather. Everyone stocks up on bread, eggs, and milk! lol

Everyone freaks out around here when there is just the slightest talk about snow!
